The START4.0 2025 financial results have been approved by the Board of Directors, confirming a positive outcome for the sixth consecutive year. This result reflects the sound management of the National Competence Center and its increasingly central role in the digital transformation of businesses and public administrations.
The key figures of the 2025 financial results
In 2025, the value of production reached €6.89 million, against production costs of €6.32 million. The year closed with a net profit of €403,121 and net equity up 31.1%, exceeding €1.75 million. These figures confirm a consolidation path established over several years.
The role of the PNRR in START4.0’s results
START4.0’s role as Implementing Body of the PNRR — under Mission 4 Component 2 Investment 2.3 — was decisive, accounting for around 72% of the value of production. Under Line B1, 80% of research and innovation projects were completed, with 56 beneficiary companies and over €4.2 million transferred to local businesses. Line B2, dedicated to business services, reached full implementation with more than 940 expressions of interest.
Market activities on the rise
Alongside co-funded initiatives, 2025 saw significant growth in non-subsidized market activities, with revenues exceeding €1.08 million, up around 72% compared to 2024. During the year, the Center also confirmed its ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications after passing the relevant audits, ensuring the quality of its processes and the security of its information.
An increasingly solid Competence Center
The 2025 financial results confirm START4.0 as a national reference point for digital security and innovation, able to combine the delivery of funded projects with a growing capacity to operate on the market for the benefit of businesses, professionals, and institutions.
