Genoa hosts the first public event of the ARTOUR project to introduce AI and Robotics in tourism and culture, with the participation of START4.0.

On Wednesday, November 14, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m., the Genoa Blue District will host the event “Solutions and Challenges for Innovation: AI and Robotics for Tourism and Culture Enterprises,” the first public event of the European ARTOUR – Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Tourism project.

This initiative, promoted by RAISE, the project’s lead partner, involves strategic partners from the cross-border innovation ecosystem: START4.0 (Genoa), ARTES 4.0 (Pisa), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Nice Côte d’Azur (Nice), Petra Patrimonia Corsica (Bastia), and E.INS – Ecosystem of Innovation for Next Generation Sardinia (Sassari).

The meeting represents an important opportunity for institutions, businesses, research organizations, and stakeholders to discuss the opportunities offered. Artificial intelligence and robotics in the culture and tourism sectors, and present the tools and services that ARTOUR will make available to local businesses.

A day of learning, networking, and collaboration

The program includes:

  • Institutional greetings from representatives of the Liguria Region, the Municipality of Genoa, and Job Centre srl;
  • the presentation of the ARTOUR project and its strategic vision;
  • a session dedicated to project partners and the European dimension of the program;
  • a roundtable moderated by journalist Silvia Baglioni, with the participation of experts and representatives of public bodies, innovative companies, and research centers.

The panel will also include START4.0, which brings its expertise to the project in promoting the safe and sustainable digitalization of businesses, enhancing the adoption of advanced technologies and synergy between the public and private sectors, according to a collaborative ecosystem model for innovation.

Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Territorial Innovation

The event will be entirely bilingual (Italian-French) and will focus on how new technologies can support the growth of the tourism and cultural sector. Improving service efficiency, content accessibility, visitor interaction, and the sustainability of management models.

START4.0 is pleased to contribute to this initiative, which focuses on digital innovation as a driver of economic growth and sustainable development for local communities, including through the promotion of key sectors such as tourism and culture.
