The Municipality of Genoa has chosen Start 4.0 for an advanced training course on cybersecurity governance, designed to provide municipal managers and officials with concrete tools to address digital challenges in line with current legislation.
The project responds to the need to comply with the NIS2 Directive and the PA Decree on cybersecurity (n. 90/2024), strengthening internal skills in risk management and cybersecurity.
The training proposal, designed specifically for the institution, included an 8-hour module divided into five thematic areas: introduction to cybersecurity in the public sector, principles of NIS2, regulatory obligations for local authorities, role and responsibility of the CISO, and risk management models.
The objective is to build a widespread culture of security within the institution, capable of guiding strategic decisions, preventing vulnerabilities and protecting critical services and data.
The project is part of the Start 4.0 activities to support the secure digitalisation of the Public Administration, and confirms the role of the Competence Centre as a reliable partner also for local institutions that wish to evolve in a sustainable and resilient way.
