On Thursday, February 26, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, at the Genova Blue District (Via del Molo 65, Genoa), the Academy meeting titled “Ideas and solutions for the climate from startups and businesses” will be held.

The event is a step closer to the major event “Genova Climate Change: the hackathon on climate change,” scheduled for March 21st and 22nd in Genoa.

A moment of dialogue between innovation platforms, startups, businesses, and local stakeholders to share innovative, technological, and sustainable solutions capable of responding to climate challenges..

Innovative Ways to Communicate Climate Change

Innovative, Practical, and Technological Solutions

Innovative and Achievable Activities for Citizens and Local Communities

Companies from the START4.0 network, the National Competence Center for Safe and Sustainable Digitalization funded by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, will share concrete examples of how technological innovation can become a real response to environmental challenges.

START4.0 will explain its commitment to supporting sustainable innovation projects, accompanying companies in the digital transition with high-tech, secure, and environmentally friendly solutions.

Participating companies will be able to attend in person or connect remotely, encouraging broad and inclusive participation.


Genoa Climate Change Hackathon: Registration Open

The Academy is previewing the Genoa Climate Change Hackathon, which will take place on March 21st and 22nd at the Genoa Blue District.

How the Climate Change Hackathon Works

Individual Registration

Required Age

Specify membership profile: researcher, startupper, expert, computer scientist, creative, etc.

Team Creation at the Start of the Hackathon

Participants will be asked to develop proposals in response to three strategic challenges related to climate change:

Innovative Climate Change Communication

Innovative, Practicable, and Technological Solutions

Innovative and Achievable Activities for Citizens and Communities

A jury will evaluate the projects and award three prizes of €5,000, one for each challenge.

During the hackathon, teams will be supported by mentors, experts, and tutors in a structured process of innovation support.


Genoa Climate Change Academy opens February 19th: training and in-depth analysis on climate and innovation

Starting February 19th, an Academy open to all will offer meetings, conferences, debates, and workshops to explore the hackathon’s themes.

Participation is recommended but not mandatory, and represents an important opportunity to acquire skills, strategic vision, and tools useful for developing project ideas.
