The Liguria “Tech” delegation meets Switzerland

La delegazione tech della Liguria incontra la Svizzera

Three days of meetings, innovation, and tech prospects between Liguria and the Swiss Confederation | October 15–17, 2025

From October 15–17, a Ligurian delegation took part in an intensive mission to Switzerland, visiting the cities of Zurich, Neuchâtel, and Lausanne, to explore new opportunities for collaboration in the fields of space, aerospace, and technology transfer. Three days of meetings, innovation, and tech prospects between Liguria and the Swiss Confederation.

START4.0 participated in this strategic mission promoted by Liguria International in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Switzerland. The initiative allowed the Ligurian tech delegation to meet with Switzerland and explore crucial issues such as cybersecurity in the OT sector, the application of advanced technologies in mechatronics, micromechanics, and emerging life sciences sectors.

The mission represented a concrete opportunity to strengthen ties between innovation ecosystems and lay the foundations for new bilateral alliances in the fields of technology and industrial innovation, also thanks to a rich program of technical meetings, networking sessions and company visits.”

Heartfelt thanks go to the numerous professionals and stakeholders who made the program possible, and to all the institutional and industrial partners who contributed to the initiative’s success: the Italian Embassy in Bern, the Italian Consulate in Zurich (with Consul General Mario Baldi and Luca Valenziano), Liguria International (Alessandro Pittaluga, Luca Calandrini), ICE Bern (Samuele Porsia, Philipp Koller), Thales Alenia Space (Elisabetta Rugi Grond), Swiss Global Enterprise (Beat Kuster), and the Greater Zurich Area (Rolf Bühler).

The Liguria Tech delegation meeting with Switzerland fits perfectly with the START4.0 vision: creating a collaborative ecosystem capable of promoting the secure and sustainable digital transformation of Italian businesses. Our activities in Switzerland confirm our commitment to supporting international technology transfer, fostering synergies between centers of expertise, and contributing to the development of new innovation paths in high-tech sectors.

Space is now a laboratory for the industry of the future, and START4.0 is ready to support the creation of collaborations that connect Liguria—and Italy—to Europe’s most advanced innovation hubs.
